Product Development Manager - ModelCo HQ, Sydney

Due to significant growth we are seeking a passionate, experienced, and results driven PRODUCT DEVELOPER who has a passion for product development and an appreciation for beauty, market trends and innovation.

This instrumental role will see you use qualitative and quantitative data to source and produce innovative products for both Australian and international markets. The successful candidate must have current relationships with packaging and fill manufactures in the cosmetics, self-tan and skincare industry. You will be hands-on and responsible for the planning, forecasting and analysing of all categories.

TASKS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Identify, source and develop on brand product concepts for new product ranges
  • Manage all phases of formula development and new product innovation, in line with brand strategy
  • Research, source and recommend innovative products across all colour, tanning and skincare categories
  • Establish relationships with existing 3rd party laboratories to develop best-in-class formulas; responsible for lab briefs and communication with chemists
  • Introduce the business to a network of global beauty manufacturers and confidently negotiate cost of goods, through pre-existing relationships
  • Adhere to quality control standards, policies and procedure
  • Manage production, approvals and review batch submissions
  • Monitor and maintain on-time delivery of critical project milestones
  • Brief and collaborate with creative and operational teams on developing the most on-brand experience for each product launch
  • Ensure all product artwork and packaging adheres to manufacture and brand style guides, including global market compliancy
  • Ensure and analyse new product development is cost efficient and profitable
  • Create, manage and execute a Product Portfolio Strategy including gap assessments and pricing strategy
  • Manage new product financial planning and volume forecasting / P&L
  • Managing timelines, budgets and processes to gain alignment on multiple projects
  • Lead internal communication with cross-functional departments as it relates to product briefs, formula evaluation, copy and claims, artwork and regulatory deliverables
  • Leverage data, trends and support from internal teams to build a robust and actionable range plan to address knowledge gaps in consumer, brand, product, business and the marketplace
  • Lead product efficacy and consumer testing
  • Attend innovation tradeshows
  • Prepare, file and compile regulatory correspondence and applications
  • Liaise with local and international authorities to register and then monitor the registration of products throughout their lifecycle
  • Ensure product registrations are complete in-time for product launches

YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE DEPENDENT ON THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT STRATEGIST - ModelCo HQ, Sydney

ModelCo is seeking a passionate, experienced, and results driven SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT STRATEGIST.

From monthly content planning to daily execution of digital content, this exciting and dynamic role includes a variety of tasks from creating engaging creative content to executing influencer engagement to grow and maintain ModelCo’s social media channels and website. Key to the role is a graphic design experience and extensive knowledge of all social media platforms. A solid understanding of how to drive brand awareness, create engagement with understanding of who the top bogger/social media/celebrity’s influences are, as well as genuine passion the fashion and beauty industry is key to success.

The ideal candidate is someone with their finger on the pulse and is a quick, effective worker that is a step ahead and understands the ever changing world of the social media and digital realm.  You will be our brand voice, so you must be confident, full of creative ideas and ready to action in heartbeat! The role is responsible for the day-to-day running of our various social platforms as well as acting as the social media personality for our Iconic Australian beauty brand.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and executing monthly ModelCo Social Media strategy in line with brand aesthetic
  • Creating self-produced in house video content for all social media channels
  • Creating a rolling 3-month influencer engagement recommendation and strategy programme
  • Sourcing and creating all content for social media including social media advertising and video content
  • Maintaining our social media presence across a variety of platforms
  • Designing social media banners and engagement content
  • Create strategic social media campaigns to engage followers and create conversation, including reaching out to Instagram influencers and bloggers for collaborations
  • Engaging with followers and other social media accounts in an informative and on-brand tone of voice.
  • Providing well thought out ideas with detailed insights and findings for new campaigns

Ideally you will have:

  • Proven digital marketing, social media and content strategy experience.
  • Familiarity with Campaign Monitor and/or HTML to create and send newsletters to database
  • Strong Enthusiasm for creating images, video, and posts. Photography, video editing & writing skills is a plus.
  • Must be active on social media yourself and possess a strong working knowledge of social media platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great interpersonal communication skills and well presented
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (This is a must; we will ask for demonstrations of your skill)

ModelCo is seeking a passionate, experienced and results driven Communication & PR Manager.

The role is best suited to someone who has a diverse set of skills and demonstrated experience across both traditional and digital PR/Publicity strategy and execution as well as communications and social media expertise. Key to this role is having existing, strong relationships with beauty media and influencers within the beauty, fashion and lifestyle industry.

This role is also responsible for ideation and execution of compelling, engaging and effective content. You will be researching and generating relevant, sophisticated and interesting content trends that align with consumers and the overall business strategy.

You will have your finger on the pulse and are a quick, effective strategist that is a step ahead and can lead community engagement and the digital realm. You will bring to life the digital and content strategies for the business.

A solid understanding of how to drive brand awareness, create community engagement by understanding who the top social media & celebrity influences are, as well as a genuine passion for the fashion and beauty industry is fundamental to your success.

You will assist the business with its commercial objectives by collaborating with the wider team and supporting major product launches and cross-functional business milestones. The ability to drive customer acquisition, undertake continuous analysis of the digital environment and report on key performance drivers is essential. This key role will support the business in all local and international digital activations, PR, product launches and events.
